About Us

Stitch Foundry is a cottage industry in North Carolina. Ruth is a retired advertising executive with the New York Times Company, and has 35 years experience in tailoring. She tailored almost all her business suits; sewing fine fabrics of wools, silks, linens, and other natural fabrics. She has worn them from South Carolina to New York, all over the U.S. and Europe.

Husband, Don, is a retired real estate developer/broker. He also has vast experience in the textile industry. Don's experience includes owning and operating a fabric, drapery, and upholstery shop.

Both have a love for fabrics, sewing, and design. Along with the gift of an apron from Uncle Bill, Stitch Foundry was born!

Spark, the Springer Spaniel is no longer with us. We enjoyed him for 12 years, and certainly miss him!
